·         Becca Smajstrla: Head Coach SPV 14 Elite

“I want to help athletes who give everything they have in practices and matches so they never have to say ’woulda, shoulda, coulda’. When each individual gives 100% effort 100% of the time, the score will take care of itself. Working hard makes a strong person, a solid athlete, and a winner hands down.”

Becca was raised in Red Oak where she played volleyball for Aurthur Stanfield for three years. ·        Sarah Camodeca: Assistant Coach 14 Elite

“I believe the fundamentals of volleyball are very important to learn at a young age.  Having confidence in the basic skills allows the player to feel confident in their ability on the court.  I also believe the mental aspect of the team is a major determinant of the success of a team.  I expect the players to have positive attitudes and they can expect the same from me.  Most importantly, it is my job to make sure the players find a love for the game."

Sarah grew up in Chicago playing varsity volleyball for Rolling Meadows High School.  She played for Rolling Thunder Volleyball Club for three years and competed at the Junior Olympic National her last season. She is a sophomore at Southern Methodist University where she is double-majoring in business and Spanish.  This will be her second year coaching with SPV. She was the assistant coach to our SPV 13 Blue team last year who finished the season ranked in the top ten in the North Texas Region.”

·       Christy Williams: Head Coach SPV 13 Elite Christy

“I have a strong belief that every girl needs to be involved in a competitive team.  It teaches them self-confidence; self awareness and how to be a team player under pressure situations. I believe young female athletes need to be constantly encouraged and given a challenge to help develop them as an athlete. They need to walk away from any game or practice knowing they either improved at an item or identified what item they need to improve on for the next event. This will help them to contribute to the team and the team’s effort in being successful.”

Christy grew up in the Plano area where she played varsity at Plano Senior High School. After high school she attended Texas Tech University where received a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Public Relations with an emphasis in Sports Management. While attending Tech she also played on the Red Raiders Club team for two years. After graduation, Christy worked for a sports marketing company where she managed clients sponsorship and endorsement packages. She was the head coach to our SPV 13 Blue team last year who finished the season ranked in the top ten in the North Texas Region. She currently lives in Frisco with her husband and two children. This is her third year with Skyline SPV.
